The digging head is lifted by a pair of arms.


The digging head can be rotated from a vertical to a horizontal position.

The tree is transported horizontally with the crown of the tree facing toward the rear. This design is superior since the tree branches will not snag on obstacles and break, but instead slide past them.

The spades are concave in shape, thus corresponding with the natural growth patterns of the roots.

By digging the planting hole with the tree spade, the rootball and the planting hole will have the same shape. This will allow the tree to quickly establish itself in its new environment after transplanting.
